Installing GTP 59 (OAT Probe)

• Installed GTP59 on the right wing root inspection hatch

Detail

Sling’s official instruction says the OAT probe should be installed in the NACA duct, but most people say it measures 10+ degrees higher than expected. And most people installs it under the right wing root.

I drilled a small hole on the fuel tank inspection hatch, deburred and test fitted with the OAT.

Then inserted the OAT with the grounding wire sandwiched between the inspection hatch skin and the probe itself.

Lastly, torqued it to 100 in-lbs per the installation manual.
