Installing right rear window

Installing right rear window

TLDR

  • Installed right rear window

Details

I installed the right rear window today.

With the experience from the left window, the right one felt faster althrough still very unpleasant due to the dust.

Cutting and sanding

  • Place the window on the frame, trace the outline with a sharpie.
  • Rough cut around the outline
  • More accurate cut on the outline.
  • Place the window on frame again, and use my “sharpie+tracer” combo pen to trace the outline again. Now I have the window outline 2mm shrinked from the canopy frame.
  • Rough cut
  • Sand to exact shape

Taping and Gluing

Not much to explain here, I spent quite some time to tape around the window and canopy both in and out.

Then applied the sika activator, primer and glue, and placed the window to its final position and secured with wingnut clecos.
