Installing Throttle Cable

Details

Routed the throttle cable from the throttle quadrant to the engine.

Initially I wanted to use a metal cable guard through the firewall. But the space was too tight. I could not safely drill a hole for the cable guard. I had to gave up on this idea and switch to the Sling official way, which is to use a rubber grommet to protect the throttle when going through the firewall.

Connected the throttle cable to the throttle quadrant.

Very small space to work with. I misread the manual (Service Bulletin 24) and had to disemble the nut holding the throttle cable a few times, but eventually got it right.

Connected the throttle cable to the throttle lever on the engine.

Routing on this side was easier, but still took a some time.

I haven’t fully torqued everything on this side. I’m expecting to adjust the cable length a bit after the engine starts to run.
