Misc Firewall Forward Tasks

TLDR

Worked on a lot of misc tasks on the firwall forward section:

• Counter-sunk all camloc socket mounting points
• Added more heatshield on firewall
• Organized wires
• Installed fuel lines on naviflow

Counter-Sinking Camloc Mounting Points

There are 10 or so camloc locations around the stiffener strip. I spent a few minutes in the morning to countersink all the mounting points.

Heatshield on Firewall

Previously when I laid the firewall heatshield I wasn’t sure if some places should have been covered. Now that most of the components on the firewall have been installed, I used the leftover heatshield to cover the remaining few spaces.

The very outside edge of the firewall is not covered by heatshield

Wire Organization

There is never an end to organizing wires on the airplane. I spent a ton of time today to make the wires more secure near the engine. Lots of adel clamps and zipties were involved.

Fuel Lines

I already installed most of the fuel lines previously. There are only 2 lines left. So I just installed them today.

With all fuel lines in place, I left the connection at the engine fuel-inlet disconnected for now. I think I will need to have this point disconnected in order to do fuel flow test in the near future.
